About the Role
Our client, a leader in technological innovation, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join their research and development team in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded hardware architectures, including microcontroller selection, peripheral integration, and schematic design.
- Write efficient, well-documented firmware in C/C++ for various microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
- Implement and test real-time operating systems (RTOS) and device drivers.
- Conduct hardware-software integration, system bring-up, and performance optimization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and system validation.
- Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and systems engineers to deliver integrated product solutions.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering , Electrical Engineering , or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in embedded systems development.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded applications and experience with assembly language.
- In-depth knowledge of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V) and embedded peripherals.
- Experience with RTOS, device drivers, and hardware debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers).
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet.
