Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for microcontrollers and embedded systems, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in C/C++ and other relevant programming languages.
• Develop and implement drivers, firmware, and real-time operating systems (RTOS) for embedded platforms.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to define system requirements, debug hardware/software integration issues, and optimize system performance.
• Implement and utilize unit testing, integration testing, and simulation techniques to ensure software robustness.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions within a remote team structure, supporting Portsmouth initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with embedded hardware debugging tools and techniques (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment.
