About the Role
Our client, a prestigious law firm in the vibrant city of Brighton , is seeking an experienced Senior Employment Lawyer to lead their dedicated employment law team. This key position involves advising a diverse clientele, ranging from SMEs to larger corporations, on all aspects of employment law, including contentious and non-contentious matters. You will be responsible for managing complex cases, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the strategic growth of the department. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on all areas of employment law , including disciplinary procedures, dismissals, discrimination, and TUPE.
- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in employment tribunals and higher courts.
- Advise on strategic HR matters, including restructuring and redundancy programmes.
- Manage and mentor junior members of the employment law team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of corporate clients.
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 6 years' post-qualification experience in employment law .
- Demonstrated expertise in handling complex employment litigation and advisory work.
- Strong understanding of current employment legislation and case law.
- Excellent advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage a demanding caseload and deliver commercially astute advice.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service in the Brighton area.
