About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and influential Senior Energy Policy Advisor to join their forward-thinking organisation. Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will be instrumental in shaping our engagement with energy policy and regulation across the UK and internationally. This role demands a deep understanding of the energy landscape, extensive policy analysis skills, and the ability to articulate complex issues to diverse audiences. You will work autonomously, collaborating virtually with internal teams and external stakeholders to advocate for sustainable and effective energy strategies from your home base.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse national and international energy policies, regulations, and market frameworks.
• Develop policy recommendations and strategic advice to support the company's objectives.
• Prepare policy papers, reports, and consultation responses for government bodies and industry forums.
• Engage with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the energy sector.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Public Policy, Economics, Law, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience in energy policy analysis, development, or advocacy, preferably within the UK energy sector .
• In-depth knowledge of energy markets, decarbonisation strategies , and sustainability frameworks.
• Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote setting.
