About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Energy Policy Advisor to join their influential team in Oxford . This role is critical in shaping and influencing energy policy to support the transition towards a sustainable and secure energy future for the UK. You will conduct in-depth research, analyze policy implications, and provide expert recommendations to government bodies, industry stakeholders, and internal strategy teams. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on current and emerging energy policies and regulations.
- Develop policy recommendations and strategic advice on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and grid modernization.
- Engage with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for effective energy strategies.
- Prepare policy papers, reports, and presentations for senior management and external audiences.
- Monitor legislative developments and assess their potential impact on the energy industry .
- Facilitate workshops and discussions on key energy policy issues.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in energy policy analysis, development, or advocacy, preferably within the UK energy market .
- In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, climate change policy, and energy system dynamics.
- Proven ability to conduct rigorous research and produce high-quality policy analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
