Key Responsibilities
- Analyze energy market data (price, supply, demand, weather) to identify trading opportunities and risks.
- Develop and implement quantitative trading strategies for electricity, gas, and other relevant energy commodities.
- Monitor market news, regulatory changes, and geopolitical events impacting energy prices.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for forecasting market movements and evaluating trading positions.
- Manage risk exposure related to trading activities, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Communicate market insights and trading recommendations to senior management and the trading desk.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy trading , analysis, or a related quantitative role.
- Strong understanding of energy commodity markets (e.g., power, gas, renewables).
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Experience with financial modeling software and trading platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
