About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly creative and skilled Senior Environment Artist to contribute to expansive open-world projects in Norwich . You will be responsible for crafting breathtaking and immersive environments that serve as the backdrop for compelling player experiences. This role is essential for bringing our virtual worlds to life, working alongside a talented team of designers and artists within the Arts & Entertainment sector. Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D environment assets, including terrain, foliage, buildings, and props.
• Assemble and detail game environments using industry-standard engines and tools.
• Collaborate with level designers to ensure environments support gameplay and narrative objectives.
• Optimize environment assets for performance without compromising visual quality.
• Develop and maintain high-quality texture sets and material work.
• Mentor junior environment artists and contribute to setting art direction standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist in the games industry, with a portfolio showcasing open-world or large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of modular asset creation, level art principles, and set dressing.
• Experience with real-time engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Knowledge of photogrammetry and procedural content generation techniques is a plus.
• Excellent artistic eye for composition, color, and detail.
