Senior Environmental Consultant - Energy Projects

About the Role

You will provide expert advice on environmental impact assessment, permitting, compliance, and mitigation strategies for developments in the renewable and traditional energy sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for energy infrastructure projects, including offshore wind, solar farms, and grid connections.
• Conduct baseline studies, impact prediction, and develop mitigation and monitoring plans.
• Prepare and submit environmental permit applications to relevant regulatory bodies.
• Advise clients on environmental legislation, policy, and best practices relevant to the energy sector .
• Undertake site surveys, ecological assessments, and pollution control strategy development.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and client relationships effectively.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental consultancy , with a significant focus on the energy industry .
• Proven experience in managing and delivering EIAs and environmental permits.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and EU environmental legislation relevant to energy development.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
