Job Description: Scientific & Publication Strategy Strategic Market Alignment & Narrative: map cross‑functional market needs across global regions (US, UK) to formulate the master Scientific Communication Platform (SCP), ensuring complete pull‑through across all medical content and commercial asset strategies. Manage across the global matrix organisation to drive quality planning and timely delivery of medical communications plans and scientific narratives. Integrated Publication Planning: develop and execute global publication plans designed to support product lifecycle objectives, address identified data gaps, and communicate product differentiation to HCPs, payers, and patients. Is accountable for the publication plans, including content and timing, which aligns with clinical trial readouts, market access priorities, and asset commercialization milestones. Adjust communications plans in accordance with clinical trial results and milestones, changes in the healthcare landscape and alignment with the brand strategy. Scientific Leadership: Lead high-quality journal submissions, publications (abstracts and manuscripts), congress presentations and delivery of internal and external scientific medical content. Project strong business acumen and the ability to interface with matrix partners to prioritise tactics within budget targets and allocated resources.

Data Dissemination Serve as a subject matter expert and support cross-functional Autolus teams on the scientific communication landscape, HCP preferences, publication and scientific medical content planning, data disclosure and dissemination, and represent Autolus scientific communications to external investigators, key authors and journal editors. Demonstrate scientific and research expertise to establish strong working collaborations with internal and external disease-area experts and ensure quality data analysis and interpretation, market-level communication planning, and data disclosure and dissemination. Ensure clear, accurate, scientifically rigorous and timely communication of scientific data, aligned with publications/data dissemination plans, clinical development plans, evidence generation plans, and medical plans, to facilitate informed healthcare decision-making. Promote and reinforce publication principles among authors and internal stakeholders, ensuring publications are authored, written and reviewed according to publication best practices and industry standards, and that employees engaged in publication activities follow Good Publication Practice guidance with integrity, quality and transparency. Evaluate and interpret medical literature and write market-level medical information in various formats; provide guidance as needed on market-specific escalated medical information enquiries. Demonstrate understanding of legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to pharmacovigilance issues as they pertain to scientific communications. Work effectively as a member of a matrix team to meet customer needs relating to clinical, real-world evidence and health economics outcomes by communicating trends and contributing to the identification and resolution of unmet medical need.

Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the point of contact between Scientific Communications and other matrix partners. Share scientific communications plans to ensure awareness and connectivity. Ensure endorsement of scientific communications plans by relevant governance bodies prior to execution. Work effectively as a member of the matrix team to meet customer needs relating to clinical and health economics outcomes by conducting medical surveillance of enquiries, communicating trends, and contributing to the identification and resolution of unmet medical need. Contribute to Medical Information processes for responding to market‑specific unsolicited enquiries as needed. Partner with market Medical colleagues and other stakeholders to assess, plan and allocate resources, including budget and biostatistical services, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality medical communications. Partner externally with third‑party vendors to ensure the appropriate balance of internal and external execution of work. Liaise with alliance and collaboration partners as required for selected assets or indications in the therapeutic area. Enable and assist the Medical Communications team with the collection and collation of clear market‑specific metrics aligned to meeting customer needs and demonstrating desired outcomes and value of activities. Function as a high‑performing partner, externally and internally, emphasising teamwork, cooperation, personal accountability and a commitment to quality.

Demonstrated skills and competencies E – Essential P – Preferred Experience Three or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience with a focus on scientific publications or medical communications - Essential Strong knowledge and experience with Good Publication Practice (GPP) - Essential Strong scientific knowledge of therapeutic and disease research areas and familiarity with drug development and product lifecycle - Essential. Experience leading medical communications across all phases of drug development and commercialization - Essential Ability to analyse and interpret complex clinical trial, real-world, and health economic and outcomes data - Essential Experience in leadership roles, including line management and people development Demonstrated track record of leading and executing in a highly matrixed environment across multiple functional areas, global geographies and markets. Ability to manage multiple, complex and competing priorities and deliver quality work using strong leadership, organisational, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills. Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with exceptional time‑management skills. Ability to influence and negotiate appropriate solutions and establish strong stakeholder relationships. Ability to participate flexibly in teleconferences and virtual meetings across different time zones. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications Advanced scientific degree, for example PharmD (or equivalent) or PhD - Essential Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) and active ISMPP membership desired.

Skills/Specialist knowledge External compliance, transparency and conflict-of-interest regulated work environments - Essential Knowledge of Good Publication Practices and guidance, including GPP and ICMJE, the Sunshine Act, Pharma Code of Conduct, and other guidance relating to post‑marketing practices and scientific data communication - Essential Knowledge of medical information and medical communication, including the applicable legal, regulatory and compliance framework surrounding communication of medical information and health economics information Understanding of clinical trial design and execution, statistical methods, and clinical trial data reporting requirements. Knowledge of management information systems, databases and digital application of information; knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications.
