Senior Exploration Geologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Exploration Geologist to join their team based in Liverpool . This role is crucial for identifying and evaluating new mineral exploration targets, contributing to the company's pipeline of future mining projects. You will be responsible for designing and executing exploration programs, interpreting geological data, and managing field operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in exploration geology, a strong understanding of geochemical and geophysical methods, and a passion for discovering new orebodies. This hybrid role allows for a balance between essential fieldwork and detailed data analysis and reporting within the office environment, supporting strategic decision-making for our client's exploration ventures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage exploration programs, including mapping, sampling, and drilling campaigns.
• Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify prospective areas.
• Conduct detailed field mapping and structural analysis.
• Log drill core and supervise sample selection for assay analysis.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and exploration target recommendations.
• Collaborate with resource geologists and mining engineers to assess project viability.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology or Exploration Geophysics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral exploration.
• Proficiency in GIS software and geological modeling software.
• Strong understanding of different deposit styles and exploration techniques.
• Excellent field skills and ability to work in remote locations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
