Senior Facilities Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Facilities Engineer to join their project execution team in Wolverhampton . This role is integral to the design, construction, and commissioning of onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all engineered systems meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance. The position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. This is a key opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure development within a region known for its industrial capabilities, and to support operations based out of Wolverhampton .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of oil and gas processing facilities, including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and layout.
• Oversee the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases of facility projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct technical reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments for facility designs.
• Manage project budgets and schedules related to facility engineering and construction.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and operations personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities engineering , with a strong background in oil and gas projects.
• Proven experience in the design and execution of onshore and offshore facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of process engineering, rotating equipment, and piping design.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
