This is a key role within the Business Finance Team, providing financial leadership, commercial insight and constructive challenge to support strategic, operational and financial objectives. Working closely with Business Unit leaders across a diverse range of operations, you will act as the crucial link between finance and the wider organisation. The role of Senior Finance Business Partner
Acting as a trusted financial advisor to Business Unit leaders, providing high-quality analysis, insight and constructive challenge
Building strong relationships across the organisation and helping to embed a commercially focused, performance-driven culture
Supporting stakeholders in understanding the key drivers behind revenue, costs, margins and cash performance
Supporting the annual budgeting process, medium-term financial planning and ongoing forecasting
Translating business objectives into clear financial plans, KPIs and measurable performance targets
Analysing Business Unit performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
Preparing financial information and analysis for monthly business performance reviews
Providing clear commentary around financial variances, performance drivers and root causes
Reviewing unit economics, operational efficiency and cost structures to identify opportunities to improve performance
Preparing and reviewing financial models and business cases to support commercial and operational decision-making
Evaluating capital investment proposals, commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives
Carrying out scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support informed decision-making
Supporting the development and improvement of management reporting, dashboards and performance packs
Ensuring financial information and KPIs are accurate, relevant and aligned with the needs of the business
Challenging legacy reporting and helping move the organisation towards more forward-looking, insight-led analysis
Presenting financial information clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders and non-finance colleagues
Working collaboratively with FP&A, Controlling, Business Unit leaders and the wider finance team
Supporting non-finance stakeholders with budget management and improving financial understanding and accountability
Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, automate reporting and strengthen financial controls
Supporting improvements to ERP systems, financial tools and data flows
Championing consistency, data quality and best practice across the finance function
The ideal candidate for the role of Senior Finance Business Partner
ACCA/CIMA/ACA Accountant with a background in commercial/operational finance roles
