Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is searching for a highly experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team remotely. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial reporting. You will lead key financial processes, provide strategic insights, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and finalization of statutory financial statements for the group.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage and mentor junior members of the finance team.
• Develop and implement improvements to financial controls and accounting policies.
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide detailed analysis of financial performance and key financial metrics to senior management.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting, reporting, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Proficiency in large-scale accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting .
