Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team based in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis.
• Develop and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary financial information.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial commentary.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
