Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a fully remote basis. This key role involves taking responsibility for the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/UK GAAP), and contributing to financial strategy. You will also play a crucial part in process improvement initiatives and the development of financial reporting systems. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage the year-end financial close process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and systems.
• Provide technical accounting advice and support to the finance team and wider business.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote environment.
