About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Financial Accountant to join their organisation in a fully remote capacity. This is a crucial role responsible for overseeing the integrity of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, and managing the financial close process for multiple entities. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert financial advice and insights. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional technical accounting skills, a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, and the ability to thrive in a remote working environment, contributing to the financial success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and finalisation of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end closing procedures for all group entities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation and support tax filings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage the audit process effectively.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and accounting policies.
- Provide technical accounting advice and support to the wider finance team and business units.
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in financial accounting.
- Extensive experience with IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirements.
- Proven track record in managing complex financial close processes and audits.
- Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively in a remote setting .
