Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Financial Accountant to lead critical financial reporting and compliance functions. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK while playing a key role in shaping the company's financial strategy and integrity. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial statements, managing audits, and driving improvements in financial processes. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present complex statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead and manage the annual audit process, liaising effectively with external auditors.
• Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
• Oversee the general ledger function, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial data.
• Provide expert financial advice and support to senior management on financial performance and strategy.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the financial reporting function.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Extensive experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and audit management.
• Deep understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS .
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced analytical tools, including Excel .
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects autonomously in a remote-first culture.
