Senior Financial Accountant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely postings, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring efficient cash flow management.
• Conduct variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide detailed explanations to senior management.
• Support the external audit process by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.

Requirements

• ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar senior accounting role, preferably within the UK.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
