Senior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic finance team based in Leicester . This pivotal role involves supporting strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and in-depth analysis. You will be instrumental in driving financial performance, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to senior management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles and a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations, contributing to the continued growth and financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Conduct variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide explanations for financial performance.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management review.
• Model financial scenarios to assess the impact of business decisions and market changes.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate financial reporting and resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the finance function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or corporate finance.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
