Senior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join their dynamic finance department in Leicester . This pivotal role will involve in-depth financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will be instrumental in providing critical insights into financial performance, identifying key trends, and recommending actions to drive profitability and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
• Conduct variance analysis, investigating discrepancies between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives, investment decisions, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with reporting standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the finance function.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related area.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, BI software).
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and corporate finance concepts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
