About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team in Plymouth . This role is pivotal in providing strategic financial insights, supporting business decision-making through detailed analysis, and driving financial planning and forecasting processes. You will work closely with various departments, offering expertise in financial modelling, performance reporting, and identifying opportunities for growth and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial planning.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor business performance against targets.
- Provide financial guidance and support to departmental managers.
- Evaluate potential investments and business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , financial modeling, and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of financial principles and business strategy.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
