Senior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team on a fully remote basis, supporting their FMCG operations. This role is crucial for providing key financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving financial performance. You will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial modeling to support business initiatives and ensure fiscal responsibility across the organization, contributing significantly to financial strategy from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Develop financial models to support business cases, strategic initiatives, and investment decisions for the FMCG business.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, working closely with various departments to gather input and ensure accuracy.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Support pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and cost management initiatives to enhance financial performance.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related role, ideally within the FMCG sector.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and financial software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
