Senior Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Financial Controller to lead their finance department in Wolverhampton . This senior leadership role will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial planning. You will be responsible for driving financial performance, implementing robust financial controls, and providing critical insights to the board to support strategic growth and operational efficiency, acting as a key advisor on all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and optimize performance.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure robust internal controls are in place and effective, managing external audits.
• Provide financial leadership and guidance to the finance team and wider organization.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Extensive knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and corporate finance .
• Experience in managing teams and overseeing financial operations.
• Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and tax requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
