About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Formulation Scientist to join their innovative product development team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is pivotal in the design, development, and optimization of advanced formulations for a range of products. You will leverage your deep scientific knowledge and practical expertise to create stable, effective, and high-performing formulations, working closely with cross-functional teams from concept to commercialization. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation development process for new and existing products, ensuring they meet performance and stability requirements.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate raw materials, excipients, and processing parameters.
- Utilize a range of analytical techniques to characterize formulations and assess their physical and chemical properties.
- Optimize formulations for scalability, manufacturing efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for project teams and regulatory submissions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory affairs departments to ensure seamless product transfer and compliance.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in formulation development, preferably within the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or specialty chemical industries.
- Proven expertise in various formulation types and delivery systems.
- Strong understanding of material science, physical chemistry, and analytical characterization techniques.
- Experience with statistical design of experiments (DoE) and data analysis.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, essential for a role based in Stoke-on-Trent .
