- We are looking for a commercially minded and highly engaging Senior FP&A Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent interpersonal skills and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Zenobe is at the forefront of innovation across both BESS and EV markets, and we want someone who is going to continuously push the company to succeed and deliver it’s ambitious plans to grow 10x by 2030
- You will be a business-facing, proactive communicator who can translate analysis into action and influence decision‑making at the highest levels
- You will enjoy working right in the thick of operations and business development teams, providing support for decision making across the board and being the key bridge between the finance team and the wider business
- Our FP&A team is relatively new, and has spent a significant amount of time building the strong foundations necessary to underpin our future plans. You will step in to support the Head of FP&A in taking it to the next level
- As part of the FP&A team, you will play a key role in shaping the long-term direction of both the team, and the business in general. You will work closely with the Leadership Team, providing insight, challenge, and guidance on critical strategic decisions
- You will be adaptable: things move quickly at Zenobe and focus will shift rapidly
- You will be able to support a range of project initiatives (M&A, process/systems improvement, long term planning, development of new business streams, supporting underwriting assumptions, reviewing and challenging business plans etc etc) whilst also being able to keep an eye on the day to day analysis and support required from a strong FP&A team
A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY
- Strategic Planning
- Support the long-term business planning process, including:
- Enhancing our geographical expansion analysis as we expand across the globe
- Embedding scenario planning into the leadership team workflows to better support strategic trade-offs
- Provide insight to inform capital allocation decisions
- Supporting the Head of FP&A in developing exciting initiatives for the team as business requirements evolve:
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to support our EV customers in generating Electrification business cases
- Profitability and margin optimisation
- Developing a set of productivity and efficiency metrics that provide our shareholders with insight into how our growth is being shaped
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategic direction
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Leadership Team, providing clear insight and constructive challenge, particularly with interpreting monthly results and monthly reforecasting
- Engage and confidently challenge senior stakeholders across the business
- Prepare and present executive-level materials that clearly articulate performance and strategic choices
- Work in lock step with the wider finance team to ensure the systems and process in the team support genuine business need and ambition
- Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
- Act as a strategic thought partner on business cases and investment decisions
Process & Tool Enhancement
- Continuously improve FP&A processes, outputs, and ways of working as we scale, ensuring systems are fit for purpose and being used correctly
- Work closely with the FP&A modeller and the wider finance team to ensure analysis is robust and effectively applied and the newly developed company operating model is working as intended
- Support the Systems team in embedding the use of AI in finance and integrating new tools and technologies as required
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a senior member of the FP&A team steering priorities and team development as we grow the FP&A function
- Provide guidance and support to junior analysts, ensuring outputs are both useful to the business and of high quality
- Work collaboratively across the finance team to balance strategic priorities with ongoing business as usual support to the business
Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, concise messaging for stakeholders at all levels of the businessComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environmentExperience working in FP&A or a commercially analytical role (typically ~5+ years)Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insightWe are a “people first” company and we want to keep this mindset as we scale.
