About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fraud Investigator to bolster their anti-fraud efforts in Leeds . This critical role involves meticulously investigating suspected insurance fraud cases, identifying patterns, and gathering evidence to prevent financial losses for the company and its policyholders. You will work collaboratively with claims handlers, legal teams, and external agencies to resolve complex fraud investigations. This hybrid position allows for focused investigative work from home, balanced with essential in-person collaboration and team meetings at our Leeds office.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into suspected insurance fraud across multiple lines of business.
• Gather, analyze, and present evidence, including financial records, witness statements, and digital footprints.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies, legal counsel, and other external bodies on fraud cases.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports, providing clear conclusions and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver fraud awareness training to internal teams.
• Identify emerging fraud trends and recommend preventative measures and system improvements.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in insurance fraud investigation, ideally with a background in law enforcement or forensic accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and uncover fraudulent schemes.
• Excellent interviewing, interrogation, and report-writing skills.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and the legal framework surrounding fraud.
• Proficiency in fraud detection software and investigative techniques.
