Senior Frontend Developer (React)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in React to join their thriving digital product team in Southampton . Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, responsive user interfaces using React and related libraries (Redux, Context API).
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes and mockups into functional, interactive web pages.
• Optimize frontend performance for speed, scalability, and accessibility.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and APIs.
• Conduct code reviews, participate in architectural discussions, and mentor junior frontend developers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Expertise in React.js and its ecosystem, including state management libraries.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS/LESS).
• Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Babel) and version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
