About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Senior Frontend Developer to join their innovative product development team, working remotely from Glasgow . You will be responsible for building intuitive, responsive, and engaging user interfaces for our web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern frontend technologies and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to translate creative concepts into functional, high-quality code, contributing to the overall product strategy and user journey, in a fully remote setting that emphasizes collaboration and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain high-quality, reusable code for user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional and interactive web applications.
- Optimize frontend performance for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and advocate for frontend best practices.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and application stability.
- Mentor junior frontend developers and participate actively in code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Expertise with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with state management libraries and build tools.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
