About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Frontend Engineer with a specialization in React to join their vibrant product development team in Edinburgh . You will be instrumental in building and enhancing user interfaces for our flagship applications, focusing on creating intuitive, performant, and visually appealing experiences. This role involves close collaboration with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centric features. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement high-quality, reusable UI components and features using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional, responsive web interfaces.
- Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, participating actively in code reviews.
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and APIs.
- Mentor junior frontend developers and contribute to frontend architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with React.js and its ecosystem (Redux, Context API).
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and related web technologies.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, build tools (Webpack, Babel), and version control (Git).
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and accessibility standards.
