Senior Frontend Engineer - User Experience

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join their vibrant team in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for crafting exceptional user interfaces and experiences for their flagship products. This role requires a deep understanding of modern web technologies, a passion for usability, and the ability to translate design mockups into high-quality, responsive code. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement complex, responsive, and performant user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-fidelity, interactive web applications.
• Optimize frontend performance for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and participate actively in code reviews .
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and APIs.
• Champion best practices in frontend development, including accessibility, usability, and SEO.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development .
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience with at least one major JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Strong understanding of state management, asynchronous programming, and build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services.
• A keen eye for design and a passion for creating outstanding user experiences .
