About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join their collaborative product development team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for crafting intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces for our web applications. This role involves working closely with UX/UI designers and backend engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences. You will have the opportunity to shape the frontend architecture, mentor junior developers, and contribute to a product that delights our customers. We seek an engineer passionate about creating elegant and efficient user-centric designs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement complex, reusable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional code.
Optimize frontend performance for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend logic with server-side APIs.
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
Mentor junior frontend engineers and contribute to improving frontend development best practices.
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development.
Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) .
Proficiency with at least one major frontend framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex).
Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and accessibility standards.
Familiarity with build tools (Webpack, Vite) and version control (Git).
