About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join their innovative team in Wolverhampton . This role is integral to crafting exceptional user experiences across our client's digital platforms. You will be responsible for translating UI/UX designs into high-quality, interactive, and responsive web interfaces. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of modern front-end technologies, a keen eye for design aesthetics, and a passion for building performant, accessible, and maintainable code, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative development process, with a blend of in-office and remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sophisticated, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional, high-fidelity web applications.
- Write clean, semantic, and performant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code, adhering to best practices and accessibility standards.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to front-end architecture decisions.
- Stay abreast of emerging front-end technologies and trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
- Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
- Proven experience with at least one major frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Strong understanding of state management, component-based architecture, and build tools.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, asynchronous request handling, and version control systems (Git).
