Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and passionate Senior Frontend Engineer to join their innovative digital team, supporting initiatives based out of Southampton . You will be responsible for building intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces for our client's web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern frontend technologies, a keen eye for design, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences. You will collaborate closely with designers and backend engineers to translate concepts into high-quality code, working in a fully remote capacity that emphasizes flexibility and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain responsive and performant user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional, high-quality code.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable frontend code, adhering to established coding standards.
• Optimize frontend performance for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including modern ES6+ features.
• In-depth experience with at least one major JavaScript framework like React , Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex) and build tools (e.g., Webpack).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
