Senior Full Stack Developer - E-commerce Platforms

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Developer to enhance their leading e-commerce platforms, based in Manchester . You will be responsible for developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of their high-traffic online retail systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from conception and design to deployment and optimization. You'll work within an agile team, focusing on delivering seamless user experiences and robust functionalities that drive online sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Design and implement scalable back-end services and APIs using languages like Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Integrate with third-party services and payment gateways to ensure smooth transaction processing.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and server response times for maximum efficiency.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the full stack, ensuring a stable and reliable user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
• Solid experience with back-end development, RESTful API design, and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
