Senior Full Stack Developer - E-commerce Platforms

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Full Stack Developer to contribute to the development and enhancement of their e-commerce platforms in Norwich . This role requires a strong command of both frontend and backend technologies, with a focus on building scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly online shopping experiences. You will work closely with product teams, designers, and other engineers to implement new features, optimize existing functionalities, and ensure the robustness of the platform. The ideal candidate is passionate about e-commerce, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional digital products in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using languages like Node.js, Python, or Java, integrated with e-commerce platforms.
• Build responsive, interactive, and visually appealing frontend interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Design and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval for e-commerce operations.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional and engaging user experiences.
• Implement and optimize features related to product catalog, cart management, checkout processes, and payment gateways.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to improving development processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer , with a significant focus on web applications.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying features for e-commerce platforms .
• Proficiency in frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern frameworks) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python/Django/Flask, Java/Spring).
• Experience with database design and management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile methodologies.
