Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join their thriving e-commerce platform team in Manchester . You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing both the front-end user experience and the back-end services that drive their online business. This role requires a developer who is passionate about creating seamless, high-performance web applications and who enjoys working across the entire technology stack. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver innovative features that delight customers and support business growth in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust, scalable, and user-friendly web applications using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Java/Spring).
- Design and implement efficient RESTful APIs and database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) to support complex e-commerce functionalities.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security across the full stack, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality, interactive interfaces.
- Participate actively in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality and application stability.
- Contribute to technical design discussions, architectural decisions, and the adoption of new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development , with a strong portfolio of web applications.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript) and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Solid experience with back-end languages and frameworks, database design, and API development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
