Senior Full-Stack Developer (React & Node.js)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to join their innovative technology team in Birmingham . This role involves designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge web applications using a modern technology stack, primarily focusing on React for the front-end and Node.js for the back-end. You will play a key part in the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment, contributing to both architectural decisions and hands-on coding. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React and associated libraries.
• Build and optimize server-side applications and APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and manage database schemas, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval using PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical specifications and user-friendly features.
• Implement robust testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and experience with both front-end (React ) and back-end (Node.js ) development.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, including relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
