About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join their distributed engineering team, supporting operations across the UK, including from Belfast . This role is designed for a developer who thrives in a remote-first environment and possesses expertise across the entire technology stack, from front-end interfaces to back-end services and database management. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications and features, working closely with product managers and designers to bring innovative ideas to life. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end codebases.
- Build robust and scalable RESTful APIs using modern frameworks such as Node.js or Python/Django.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security across various devices and browsers.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers in a remote team setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
- Strong proficiency in both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern frameworks like React/Angular/Vue) and back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote work environment.
