Senior Game Animator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Game Animator to join their creative team in Bradford . You will be responsible for bringing characters and objects to life with fluid, believable, and engaging animations that enhance the player experience. This role requires a deep understanding of animation principles, character performance, and the technical requirements of game development. You will play a key part in shaping the look and feel of our client's exciting game titles within the dynamic arts and entertainment sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality character and environmental animations for video games, ensuring realistic and expressive movement.
• Collaborate with game designers, artists, and directors to define animation styles and requirements.
• Implement animations within the game engine, optimizing for performance and visual impact.
• Develop and refine animation pipelines and tools to improve workflow efficiency.
• Animate a variety of elements, including character locomotion, combat actions, facial expressions, and secondary animations.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior animators.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in game animation .
• Proficiency in animation software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, weight, and appeal.
• Experience with in-engine animation systems (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and tools.
• A portfolio demonstrating exceptional animation quality and variety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
