Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and iterate on core gameplay mechanics, systems, and player progression.
- Develop detailed game design documents (GDDs) and specifications for features and systems.
- Collaborate with programmers, artists, and producers to translate design concepts into playable experiences.
- Balance game systems, ensuring a compelling and fair player experience.
- Conduct playtesting sessions, gather feedback, and use data analysis to refine designs.
- Champion the game's vision, ensuring all design elements align with the overall player experience goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in game design , with at least two shipped titles in a senior role.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex gameplay systems from concept to completion.
- Strong understanding of player psychology, game balance, and user experience principles.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Lua, Python) and experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly.
- A passion for games and a deep understanding of various game genres.
