Senior Game Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Game Designer to join their globally distributed team, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is critical in conceptualizing and shaping the core gameplay experiences that define our entertainment products. You will lead the design of game mechanics, systems, and player progression, ensuring a deeply engaging and satisfying player journey. Working from anywhere, you will collaborate closely with a talented team of artists, programmers, and producers to bring imaginative game worlds to life, contributing directly to the creative vision and success of our projects within the Arts & Entertainment sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and iterate on core game mechanics, systems, and player progression.
• Create detailed game design documents (GDDs) and flowcharts for complex features.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement and refine gameplay systems, ensuring they meet design intent.
• Work with narrative designers and artists to ensure a cohesive and compelling player experience.
• Conduct playtests and analyze player feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design culture of the team.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Game Designer with a proven track record of shipping successful titles.
• Deep understanding of game design principles, player psychology, and various game genres.
• Proficiency in creating design documentation, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and scripting languages is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote work environment and contribute to a shared vision.
