Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and iterate on core gameplay systems and mechanics using C++.
- Collaborate with game designers to understand and implement gameplay requirements and features.
- Optimize code for performance, memory usage, and scalability across multiple platforms.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, participating actively in code reviews.
- Debug and resolve complex gameplay-related issues identified during development and testing.
- Mentor junior programmers and contribute to the team's technical growth and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in gameplay programming for video games.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Solid understanding of gameplay mechanics, player controls, and AI programming.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, crucial for remote teamwork.
