Senior Geologist - Exploration

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Geologist to lead critical exploration initiatives based in our London headquarters. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive geological exploration plans, including field mapping and sampling strategies.
• Analyze and interpret geophysical, geochemical, and drilling data to identify potential mineral deposits.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, resource estimates, and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Manage exploration budgets, timelines, and field logistics efficiently.
• Mentor junior geologists and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Collaborate with environmental and permitting teams to ensure responsible exploration practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on geological modeling and resource estimation .
• Proven expertise in various geological software and data analysis tools (e.g., Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Petrel).
• Strong understanding of deposit types relevant to the mining industry and field exploration techniques.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
• Must hold a valid UK driver's license for potential site visits.
