Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geological surveys and mapping projects to identify potential mineral resources.
• Analyze geological data, including core samples, geophysical logs, and geochemical analyses, to delineate ore bodies.
• Develop and manage exploration budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, resource estimates, and feasibility studies for senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering and environmental teams to ensure responsible and sustainable exploration practices.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to the development of technical best practices within the exploration department.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on economic geology .
• Proven track record in identifying and defining new mineral deposits.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine) and GIS applications.
• Strong understanding of exploration techniques, including drilling, sampling, and assay interpretation.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex geological concepts clearly.
