Senior Geologist - Exploration

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Geologist to spearhead exploration initiatives within their expanding mining operations. You will be instrumental in identifying and evaluating new resource opportunities, applying advanced geological principles and cutting-edge exploration technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of geological mapping, subsurface analysis, and resource estimation, contributing directly to the strategic growth and sustainability of our client's mining ventures. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological field mapping and surveys to identify potential mineral deposits.
• Utilize geophysical data and drilling results to create and interpret 3D geological models.
• Perform resource and reserve estimations, adhering to industry standards and reporting requirements.
• Plan and supervise drilling programs, ensuring data quality and geological integrity.
• Collaborate with engineering and environmental teams to assess project feasibility and impact.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration and resource geology.
• Proven expertise in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan) and GIS.
• Strong knowledge of various deposit types and exploration techniques relevant to mining .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field teams and manage exploration projects effectively.
