Senior Geologist - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Geologist to join their dynamic exploration team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will play a crucial role in identifying and evaluating new mineral prospects, contributing to the strategic growth of our mining operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of geological principles and advanced analytical techniques, with a proven track record in mineral exploration project management. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping, sampling, and data analysis to identify and assess potential mining sites.
• Develop and manage exploration programs, including budget forecasting and resource allocation for remote projects.
• Utilize advanced geological modeling software and GIS tools for data interpretation and visualization.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with drilling teams and external consultants to ensure effective data acquisition and quality control in the field.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to the continuous improvement of exploration methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a focus on geological interpretation and resource estimation.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine) and GIS platforms.
• Strong understanding of various deposit types and exploration techniques relevant to the mining industry .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex geological information clearly.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently and effectively in a remote working environment.
