Senior Geologist (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and analytical Senior Geologist to join their forward-thinking, entirely remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth geological surveys and interpret complex datasets, including seismic, well-log, and core data.
• Develop and refine geological models to predict resource occurrence and estimate reserves with high accuracy.
• Lead the geological aspects of exploration campaigns, defining drilling targets and overseeing field operations remotely.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, engineers, and data scientists to integrate diverse data streams for comprehensive analysis.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and project stakeholders.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to the team's knowledge base and best practices in geological interpretation and modeling.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in geological exploration and resource estimation, preferably within the mining sector.
• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine) and data analysis tools.
• Demonstrated experience in remote data analysis and virtual collaboration environments.
• Excellent understanding of geological principles, structural geology, and sedimentary/igneous/metamorphic processes relevant to resource exploration.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex geological concepts.
