About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Geologist to join their dynamic team in London . This role is pivotal in supporting exploration and resource evaluation projects within the mining sector. You will be instrumental in analyzing geological data, developing exploration strategies, and contributing to the overall success of our client's mining operations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological mapping and site investigations.
• Analyze and interpret geophysical and geochemical data to identify potential mineral deposits.
• Develop and manage exploration drilling programs, including core logging and sample selection.
• Prepare comprehensive geological reports and resource estimations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to the continuous improvement of geological methodologies.
• Collaborate with other disciplines such as mining engineers and environmental scientists to ensure project integration.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration or mining geology.
• Proficiency in geological software packages (e.g., Leapfrog, ArcGIS, MinePlan).
• Strong understanding of deposit modeling and resource estimation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical interpretation of geological information.
