About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Geologist to contribute their expertise to their exploration and production activities in Bradford . This critical role involves interpreting geological data, identifying potential hydrocarbon prospects, and contributing to the subsurface understanding of exploration assets. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, playing a key part in the strategic direction of exploration efforts and the subsurface evaluation of potential reserves in the Oil & Gas industry . The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background and extensive experience in geological modelling and data interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and integrate diverse geological datasets, including seismic, well logs, core data, and surface geology.
- Develop and refine 2D and 3D geological models to characterize subsurface reservoir properties and structures.
- Identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon plays and prospects, assessing risk and uncertainty.
- Collaborate closely with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and drilling engineers to ensure a holistic subsurface view.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and potential partners, outlining geological findings and recommendations.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of exploration fieldwork and data acquisition programs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Geologist in the Oil & Gas exploration sector.
- Proficiency with industry-standard geological interpretation and modelling software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom).
- Strong understanding of structural geology, stratigraphy, and sedimentology relevant to hydrocarbon systems.
- Experience in seismic interpretation and basin analysis is essential.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
