Senior Geophysicist - Seismic Interpretation

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed seismic interpretation , including structural and stratigraphic analysis, on 2D and 3D datasets.
• Utilize advanced geophysical software to process, interpret, and quality control seismic data.
• Integrate seismic interpretations with well log data, core data, and other geological information.
• Identify and evaluate drilling prospects, performing risk assessments and uncertainty analysis.
• Collaborate with exploration teams to define exploration strategies and optimize well placement.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations for management and technical reviews.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geophysics or a related earth science discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in exploration geophysics within the oil and gas industry .
• Expertise in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, GoCAD).
• Strong understanding of seismic data processing, attribute analysis, and inversion techniques.
• Proven ability to interpret complex geological settings and identify subtle traps.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
